About me
Hi. I’m Melissa Spurrier, and I love taking photos. I love capturing the moment when a shy introvert laughs at an awkward joke and we get the perfect executive headshot. And gathering a group of 15 employees together for a candid confetti throwing episode. And everything in between!
I have a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the University of Texas at Arlington, and count myself extremely lucky that I’ve been able to make a career out of photography.
I’m an inclusive photographer, which means I specialize in inclusive and minority-owned brands and organizations.
I’m super proud of my half Mexican heritage, and family time is very important to me. ¡Y estoy aprendiendo español!
When I’m not behind the lens, you can find me attempting to garden, practicing piano, visiting art museums, finding new immigrant-owned restaurants to try, and attending concerts/EDM shows. I also dabble in fine art photography.
If personality tests are your thing, my Myers-Briggs personality type is INFJ, and my Enneagram type is 4w5. I’m also an Aries, so I bring sensitive hype woman energy to every photo shoot I have booked.
My husband, Nick, and I are parents to two cats who are spoiled rotten: George the black cat, and Alex the calico.
