The Space on South Side

This studio is moody and modern. It has mid-century modern furniture, gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows, a variety of different colored backdrops, and lots of plants. The studio also offers easy, free parking, and the space produces stunning images. They have what they call a “dark corner” and an “all white” space, so you choose the backdrop that fits your personality and brand.
What type of session works best here?
The answer is that it honestly depends on your brand’s vibe. I’ve photographed therapists and a local musician here, and it’s definitely a great space for creatives, as it offers you a blank canvas to work with.

Headshots or a lifestyle branding session both work great here!

What To Know Before Renting A Photography Studio
Here are my top tips on what to do before choosing a photography studio to rent for your session:
Figure out what the studio has and doesn’t have. Do they have props, furniture, outlets, etc? Make sure you have your bases covered and know what (if anything) additional you need to bring to your session.
Envision how you want your photos/session to look. Do you want your session to be bright and colorful? Moody and dark? Modern and natural? Make sure that the studio matches your vision or that you can work with what the studio offers to fit with what you’re looking for.
Lighting. Lighting is super important for your photos – make sure the studio’s lighting options align with what you’re looking for. Some studios have artificial lighting while others have natural lighting.
Read the studio’s reviews. Skim the studio’s reviews both on their website and Google before booking to see what others’ experiences were like from the studio itself to the client experience while booking.
Check the rates for the studio itself and, if there are additional equipment costs, before finalizing your booking.
