What Are Branding Photos and Do You Need Them?

Branding photos are much more than something nice to have for your business – they help your business or organization with its visibility and help you build a recognizable brand identity. While they are an investment, they are one of the best investments you can make in your business – especially if you’re just starting to grow your business.

As a Dallas branding photographer, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful branding photos can be for small businesses, nonprofits, and corporate companies as they create a positive lasting impression, boost confidence, and create a unified brand image.

Keep reading to learn more about what branding photos are and how to know if you’re ready to invest in them for your business.

What Are Branding Photos?

Branding photos are images that tell your business’s story through professional, high-quality photos. They show off your business in the best light possible, along with your personality, and the quality of the product you are selling (if you’re selling a physical product).

Branding photography is what helps set you apart from your competitors, as it highlights your values and expertise that will resonate with your potential customers. Whether through headshots, lifestyle images, or product images, branding photography tells the complete story of your business in a captivating and engaging way.

Branding Photos for Irving Arts Center in Irving, Texas

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at a recent branding photography session I had:

The Irving Arts Center is “a home for the arts, housing ten resident arts organizations.” I also did branding photography for the Irving Archives and Museum during this session. I thoroughly enjoyed working with this team because, as a quick fun fact, I actually have a BFA in Fine Arts in Photography, and I love art museums in general!

With any custom branding session that I photograph, my goal is always to create images for you that look natural and relaxed, not overly posed or look like stiff, generic stock images.

Remember, your branding session is also designed to be unique to you and your business. I never show up to your session trying to copy what another business is already doing because that won’t connect with your audience.

The goal of this branding session was to showcase the best of what the arts center and museum have to offer while also coming across as engaging, playful, and immersive. For these photos, we moved around the museum and art center, stopping at different galleries and exhibits, and spending some time outdoors in front of the sculptures.

These images were meant to be inviting and show that the arts center and museum are meant for everyone, no matter your age. There is something here for everyone to discover.
